Narrative

It follows Rupert Campbell-Black and Tony Baddingham as they have a long-standing rivalry that comes to a head. The same filming location was also used to portray Trenwith House in the BBC’s 2015 TV adaptation of Poldark. I haven’t read the books so I can’t say how accurate they are.

It’s a bit cheesy

Or if they cast the right actor to play RCB. However, I can say that I really enjoyed this series and really hope they get a second season. But it’s great TV.

And great escapism

I managed to watch the whole thing in 2 days. I wish there were more episodes. However, it’s nice that they didn’t last too long.

David Tennant is great as always

But I was actually more surprised by how good Danny Dyer is. I’ve seen him in a few things (who hasn’t?) and was a little skeptical about seeing him in this one, but it was awesome. There are so many characters I love and so many I love to hate.

Too many to mention

Highly recommended. Please Disney+ renew this show.
